In a conversation, Karan said that when he began his career, there were a couple of artists that were on his bucket list. One was Mr. Rishi Kapoor, who he eventually directed in Student Of The Year and produced with Agneepath and Kapoor & Sons. The other one, he said was Mr. Bachchan, who he had the pleasure of directing twice. He also confessed that he was a crazy fan of Lata ji, who sang the title song of Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, so he managed to work with all these stalwarts.
